A carefree summer night, to be spent in the company of your boyfriend. Instead, fate for Stella Mutti has predicted something else: the girl of only 19, originally from Nuvolento, died in a tragic car accident that took place between Thursday and Friday in Rezzato.
The dramatic accident
The 19-year-old was riding the Yamaha motorcycle driven by her 22-year-old boyfriend who, around 1:30, took a discount against a Jeep at the intersection of via Garibaldi and via Matteotti. Stella was thrown from the saddle, falling on the asphalt after a ‘flight’ of several meters, eventually being overwhelmed by the two wheels. There was nothing more for her to do. The 22-year-old who rode the motorcycle reportedly suffered only minor injuries: he was rescued by an ambulance from the Cosp di Mazzano and transferred to the Civil Code, in yellow code.
Drunk driver
The driver, a 27-year-old from Mazzano, tested positive for the alcohol test: it seems that he was driving with an alcohol level almost three times beyond the legal limits. The young man was enrolled in the register of suspects on the charge of road murder, but no measures were taken against him: in fact, the outcome of the expert reports ordered by the prosecutor to clarify the dynamics of the accident is awaited.
According to a very first reconstruction carried out by the Brescia traffic police, both the motorcycle and the Jeep travel in the direction of Lake Garda: the off-road vehicle would have overwhelmed the two wheels while – it seems – it was making a left turn maneuver, which is forbidden to that intersection. It remains to be clarified whether Yamaha was overtaking. As mentioned, the investigations requested by the investigators will shed light on the causes of the crash that cost the 19-year-old’s life.
The last farewell
The excruciating pain of the parents, of the brother of the sister, as of the friends and the dismay of an entire country that is preparing to give the last farewell to “an ambitious girl with a big heart” remain, this is how Stella is remembered in the village. The funeral of the young woman, who had recently graduated after attending a course in human sciences at the Liceo Gianni Brera in Brescia, will be celebrated at 4 pm today, Saturday 27 August, in the parish church of San Lorenzo in Nuvolera.
Dozens of messages of condolence appeared on the social. “I remember how wonderful you were without realizing it, so intelligent, brilliant and always full of life, of all the laughs and tears made together – writes a friend on Instagram -. You Stella were the best friend I could ask for, life is unfair, but now I can say that the most beautiful and brightest star I have ever seen shines in the sky and I promise you that from now on, every time I look at the sky I will see you. I love you my friend, I miss you so much ” .
