Alabama man killed in motorcycle crash near Dothan

A Dothan man died Friday night after a motorcycle crash in Houston County.
Kenneth E. Preston II, 55, was fatally injured when the 2008 Honda XR650 motorcycle he was riding left the roadway and struck an embankment, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 8:41 p.m. on Friday, on Mills Street near Glen Lawrence Road, about two miles east of the Dothan city limits.
Preston was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.
An investigation by state troopers is ongoing.
