Community mourns death of businessman and former Ducks Harley rider

Doug Koke, former owner of QSL Print Community, died at at 73.
He was best known in the community as the helmeted man riding the Harley-Davidson bike into Oregon Ducks games for 23 years.
Lane County is mourning the loss of Oregon Ducks icon and local businessman Doug Koke, who died of a pulmonary embolism on Dec. 31.
Koke, who was just shy of his 74th birthday, formerly owned and operated QSL Print Communications, a local printing company. The Koke family has been embedded into the print industry in Lane County since 1907. Koke bought QSL Print Communications in 2007. According to a news release, Koke helped guide QSL into a modern, innovative company, providing print services to businesses around Lane County. His children bought the company from Koke and his wife in 2019.
