Red Bull Stands in Max Verstappen’s Way to Fulfill His High Speed Dream: “I’m Still Now Allowed to Do It”

What a sight it will be for the F1 fans to witness the ruthless Max Verstappen racing in the premier class of motorcycle racing. Yes, recently the Dutch ace revealed in an interview how fascinating is it for him to watch the high-speeding bikes. Moreover, the star Red Bull driver wants to ride the flashy motorcycles. But sadly, he is not allowed.

Verstappen, who has already displayed his potential in the F1 machinery, now wants to race in the Moto GP, but Red Bull stands in the Dutchman’s way to fulfill his high-speed dream. Recently, in a video posted by the Moto GP’s official YouTube channel, Max Verstappen was seen having fun with MotoGP World Champion, Marc Marquez.

In the hilarious clip progressed, there comes a segment where Verstappen had to answer what’s the most fascinating thing for him about MotoGP. To this, he replied, “These guys are crazy. I mean, the speeds you have on the streets, the horsepower on the bike. I would like to try it one day. I’m still not allowed to do it. “
When Marquez asked, “Why,” Verstappen said, “The team doesn’t allow me to do it.”
When further pushed by the Spanish rider, “But now you have time,” the Red Bull ace said, “Yeah, I can break a leg. I know myself. You know, you want to at least try a little bit, but then it goes wrong.”
The Dutchman added, “It’s very fascinating how strong they are, as well. It’s something I really enjoy. I mean, I love watching MotoGP.”
Max Verstappen has always been a sucker for high speed. This wasn’t the first occasion he conceded that he was denied racing in MotoGP. Back in 2018, the dutchman expressed his love for high-speed motorcycles. The Austrian outfits turned down his request that time as well, citing dangerous implications.

Back in 2018, when the young gun had started to earn praise for his F1 outings, he expressed a wish. Given the fact that Red Bull is very much associated with the KTM Factory Racing team, Verstappen expressed his wish to race on two wheels.

After getting closely knitted to the Milton Keynes side, the Dutchman indicated his wish was turned down. He said, “I would love to be able to race on two wheels, I’m not allowed to.”
“I bought myself a Harley[-Davidson bike] and I asked the team if I could try a MotoGP bike, because Red Bull are a sponsor there as well, with KTM and Honda. And we have a track, the Red Bull Ring. But they firmly said no, because it’s too dangerous,” concluded Verstappen.
