A Connecticut man was killed in a motorcycle crash in New York over the weekend.
Michael J. Landry, 65, of Ellington died at a hospital following a crash on Sunday on Route 22 in Canaan, New York, according to New York State Police.
Troopers responded to a report of the crash at 2:50 p.m. and found that Landry had been thrown from the 2014 Harley-Davidson he was riding, state police said. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
According to state police, the collision occurred as Landry was headed north on Route 22. An 85-year-old Niskayuna, New York man was driving a 2024 Porsche south when he attempted to turn left and failed to yield the right of way, leading to a collision, state police said.
The Porsche driver was taken to Berkshire Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to state police.
The crash remains under investigation.
